Connecting PIOs Beyond a Meeting Room

When public information officers across the Coachella Valley expressed a need for greater coordination and stronger connections to prepare for the next big story, CV Strategies stepped in to help turn that vision into something tangible.

Our team began brainstorming and laying the foundation for what would become the Coachella Valley Public Information Officers Task Force. We identified key communicators across the region and created a unique structure designed to attract members and bring agencies together across jurisdictional lines.

As participation grew, so did the need for a way to keep members connected, especially during times of crisis. Our team envisioned a digital home for the Task Force that could extend those connections beyond meetings and give member agencies and the media new ways to easily share and access information.

That idea became CVPIO.org.

Developing a Digital Hub for Regional Communications

CV Strategies developed the website around the unique needs of the Task Force, with our team creating a customized members-only portal where PIOs can collaborate behind the scenes.

Members can access educational videos and shared resources, view a regional calendar and connect through a dedicated emergency communications channel designed to streamline coordination when information needs to move quickly.

Putting Reliable Information Within Reach

For the media, we developed a centralized resource library bringing together information from cities, special districts, utilities and other agencies, making it easier to find reliable information and connect with the right source.

What started with a need for greater connection has grown into a network designed to strengthen communications across the Coachella Valley.
